WPA was informed by Raya Sport from the Philippines that 10-Ball World Championships, which were planned for May, need to be postponed due to difficulties in organizing the event within this period of time.

Colombia will be the host of The World Games in 2013. Four years later a few thousands of sportsmen will come to Wroclaw (Poland) to compete during the next edition of this tournament.

New member of EBC!

Latvian Republic Billiard Federation would like to become a new member of EBC.

On 21 of March the application was approved and Sergey Kolcov was recommended as the LRBF representative.

Estonian Pool Champions League kicked off in Tallinn with 14.1

This years first event in Estonian Pool Champions League was held in Tallinn and the game was 14.1.

The venue was Hiiu Piljard pool club.After a hard day of matches the winner of the first stage was Alexander Leitmäe that won over promising junior Juss Saska with a score of 75:45. Third places went to Juss’ older brother Joonas Saska and Aleksandr Jermikimov.

O.Ivanova won Pyramid Tour in Slovakia

Olga Ivanova from Belarus has been the first winner of EBC Pyramid Tour . The tournament was held in Vażec village in Slovakian mountain.

Players from 6 countries took part. Ivanova conquered Veniamin Yakovlev from Russia in the final. Third place took Michal Kedzior from Poland and Marcel Savel from Slovakia. Olga Ivanowa summed it up: " If I do someting, I try to do it with all my heart, as best as possible - and this is what I have tried to do in this tournament - to play as good as possible. I have managed. I will have nice memories from my first visit in Slovakia."

Shock in Pyramid Tour

Lucia Gejdarova (SVK) made a big sensation in the first day of the Pyramid Tour in Slovakia.  She defeated  a good player from Kazakhstan Arman Akpantayev.

 

Skowerski - winner of the Hungarian Open 10-Ball

Karol Skowerski  (POL) is the winner of the Hungarian Open 2012. In the final he defeated Mateusz Śniegocki (POL), 9-3. Bronze medals went to Ioan Ladany (ROM) and Novo Serafimovsky (MAC).

Local hosts (Fordan Centre) and tournament management prepared very good playing conditions for players whom enjoyed the event. The referees were: Piotr Kaminski and Waldemar Debski.

Medals and trophies were presented by the Board Member of WPA, the Tournament Director – Mr Marcin Krzeminski and the owner of the Club – Mr Laszlo Varga.
